tomtom go720 sd card

Hi

Can any one tell me the purpose of the SD card in my tomtom go 720?

After loading onto the map of Europe, Aree Sosta POI's, they would not show
on the "Show POI on map page".

After loading same POI's on the SD card, they now show the Sosta POI'S
on the "Show POI on map page".

There seems to be no control of the SD card in tomtom home.

Hi, I've got a 920 and I use an S.D. card for photos and music. I do believe you can put extra maps on as well but have no need for that so haven't tried.

I only use mine for MP3's, if you run out of storage on the unit it will then look at the card for extra mapping, POI's etc.
