Hi,Can anyone help or advise ? I have a tomtomgo 700 model with a UK map installed, but i would like to 'update' it, this can only be done by download to my computor or disc.
Is there anyone selling ?exchanging or know of any sites etc ,that 'download' or share maps,i would like ALL Europe and maybe Turkey, but mainly Greece and Bulgaria...
I know there's a specific Tomtom site, but if i do it thier way,its easier and cheaper to buy a ...new model !
Any secrets, tips etc would be appreciated or payment of some kind for disc etc...

How big is the internal storage? I think the Go700 has a hard disc rather than SD card storage? You should be able to get the whole of Europe plus Greece and Turkey into 2Gb

The legal way to do it is to buy the maps as a download from TomTom, I don't think up to date maps are available on CD/DVD any more although you might pick up older ones on Ebay.

Of course there are probably other ways, but you'd need to research them yourself rather than asking on here....

I have the same problem with Garmin. Gone are the days when you could just download a file on limewire. It seems to be a case of pay your 50 quid or be out of date. After a trip to S wales for three weeks I decided 5 quid was too much. I can find my own dirt tracks and back roads.:D

Hi, I have a 710 which is quite old now but works fine. The only way is to down load and pay Tom Tom to ensure you're up to date. It is generally cheaper to update than buy a new Sat Nav. The 710 I have is limited to a 2GB SD card and the 710 series is not compatible with larger sizes of Memory cards. However, I have all of Europe on mine and it has a little bit of spare capacity. I waited until Tom Tom had an offer on 40% discount. It cost me about £50 to get up to date with my maps then I signed up to pay a quarterly fee for 12 months of about £5, they then gave me a further 6 mths free on top of the 12. worth every penny in my book. If you use the link below and connect your Tom Tom it will give you an exact cost to upgrade to the current map. However, I'd hang on until you really need it as the 6 months free offer is on and off all the time. Sign up to their email service and you'll know as soon as its available.
