hi all french aires and bord atlas coordinates are different how do i change the settings for the German book when i tap in the french aires book they take me straight there and the bord atlas no way near and thats out of 16 sites about 1 mile away each time anyone know how please happy camping

Haven't got my Bord atlas to hand, how are the co-ordinates given? On my Tomtom I can enter them as deg - min - secs / deg - min (decimal minute) / deg (decimal degrees) I found I can enter them in any of the different formats regardless of how I have my display set up to show how they are.

This is a good site for converting all sorts of co-ordinates CO-ORDINATE CONVERTER it also converts the C&CC OS map locations to GPS co-ords.

Hello
You are making the same mistake I did a couple of times.
Tap change preferences on your screen.
Tap through pages to find Set Units.
Tap through pages to you come to How should latitudes and longitudes be displayed.
It should give you three choices.
The French aires book uses degrees m.m' (second one down in my Tom Tom )
The Bord Atlas uses degrees m' s'' (third one down)
Hope this helps and you change your mind about the Bord Atlas being rubbish
Cheers

hi oldpolicehouse tried that in all 3 positions made no difference I've downloaded 4500 p.o.i off tom tom home Europe and u.k so just use the books as a guide now thanks any way. happy camping

I've found on my Tomtom 930 that the setting for how it displays the co-ordinates has no relation to how you want to input the data. It seems to be able to accept the input in any form without changing the settings.
