Has anyone had any success linking a Toll Tag to use in France and Spain with a Nationwide Flex plus account please. I've tried Bip&Go and another one and they won't except the Nationwide flex plus IBAN number. I have other bank accounts but they charge for paying in Euros, so would prefer to use the nationwide account

I used the TSB for paying Bip&Go and they did not charge commission.

Whilst we are paperless they still sent a letter covering each and every payment that was made to Bip&Go with all the details including the Commission Charge which was £00.00

You need an account that obviously has an IBAN but they also need to process the SEPA system.

It's whether the bank can accept SEPA Direct Debits or not as many UK banks cannot. I set up a Lloyds account for my Bip&Go tag. It was a simple on line process and works a treat.

May be worth opening a Wise or Starling online bank account, which I use, they'll debit it in Euro directly, then you'll also have the advantage of a Euro account for better exchange rates and convenience in the EU .

Second the motion regarding Starling bank euro account.
I had an ATMB tag for years, very satisfactory, however when the battery was due for replacement I cancelled the account and switched to Bip and go as it offers a wider selection of countries for the same cost.
I had to return the transponder for the deposit refund. This was paid, in euros, naturally, straight into my euros account without loss of value due to charges.

Another happy Starling user.

We have an account each and a Joint account.
We have given my card on the joint account to the family we support in Cuba and it is an excellent way of getting money to them.
We use the cards on the personal accounts all over the world and have never had a problem.

Thanks for your reply I have a Lloyds current account but it charges transaction fees whenever I have bought something in Euros, so want to avoid using it.

I've just applied for a starling bank account, I then believe you can open a euro account with them, I will then apply for the Bip&Go.

Has anyone got a promotion code for the Bip&Go account, I believe you also get something if you refer a friend and they sign up to it.

You may wanna look at Fulli.com they have a Black Friday deal. having used them recently.

A tag for tolls if becoming more of a necessity as the French Free Flow non stop peage evolves, with no option to pay at the gate.

Yes, GMJ is the man to chat to. You both get something like 5£ or € if he refers you.
No doubt he will pick up on this thread again soon.

Bip&Go must charge the account on £ then as Lloyds have never charged ma a transaction fee on my basic account with them.

If you drop me a PM with your name and email address you can get €4 off your first invoice (I get it too).

As suggested I've opened a personal starling bank account and was hoping to open a euro account with them, but unfortunately they are not processing new clients for the euro account, so I have set up the starling personal account to pay the toll fees that are billed in Euros, does anyone know if they charge a transaction fee for converting the euros to pounds please, I know my account with Lloyds does. Thank you

You can pay for things priced in Euros using a standard Starling sterling card. No transaction fee and an excellent exchange rate.
