Yes i think he knows that however it does mean that his correctly posted numbers become incorrect and his posts get deleted instead.
I have disabled editing in the comp section now but you can still delete incorrect numbers.
The point is that the more numbers you get the more chances you have to win.

Loving the competition but I must say it's rather unfair on the poor soul that posted 999 as they then have no chance of winning. In the interest of fair play can the rule not allowing consecutive posts be changed so that the person who posts 1999 also have a go at 2000. Just for the winning numbers obviously not all of them.

Must say the hour gap between 999 and 1000 must have been agony for some though ha,ha

Well 1999 is good too because if someone wins two prizes then the person with the number one below gets the prize!
So lets say the bonus ball is number 10 10*100 = 1000, so the person with post 1000 (tony) wins, but because he cannot win two prizes the member with 999 which is elfit would win instead!
I also think it is great that tony is still helping push up the numbers to help other people win.
And just remember the more numbers you claim the more chance you have of winning! from (01)(02) post 102 to (49)(48) 4948 (not ending in 50 to 99) could all win in the lottery part of the comp.
