Tips for descaling and sterilizing..

Has any one any tips for descaling the hot water side and sterilizing the water tank and system. the handbook suggests wine vinegar where do you get that from?? Also does it make the tea taste ..

Better off with white vinegar

Vinegar is the best. Buy it by the gallon. I think the last time it was £24 for 4 5litre containers. Great stuff for cleaning and I use it as dog friendly weed killer.

No just use it neat in a pump sprayer.

Never had a lime scale problem as the water in the IOM is very soft. Since we’ve been away longer term we used a product called Calgone (might be the right spelling!) and can confirm the electric kettle is clear again so I’m assuming the the hot water tank is cleared to.
