as you will be in perth you can head to tyndrum, loch awe, oban, fortwilliam, skye, applecross wouldnt advise the drover road in a camper thoe, lochness,

will you be wildcamping or looking for touring sites,

applecross road not for the faint hearted or if u have dodgy brakes :)

If it is your first time I would advise having the first few days in proper sites until you get to know the van before wilding.

Take some kind of midge repellent with you, especially for the West Coast!! They say Avon Skin so Soft is good, but I'm sure you will be able to buy something appropriate up there! I would stick to viewing the Applecross Pass from the safety of Youtube, unless you are an experienced HGV driver, who is used to narrow places!! scenictraveller is right about it not being for the faint-hearted, and if you feel you must do it, don't do it on a cloudy day, you won't see very much at all.

This is where I would always head for if I was going to Scotland, Invercaimbe Campsite near Arisaig. Invercaimbe Caravan And Campsite It is right on the beach with stunning views of Skye and the Small Isles.

We toured Scotland last year, and the details are on my blog, so take a look. Have a good time, wish we were going again!!
