Hi everyone

I'm Gemma, currently travelling with Chris and Bo for however long we want to really. You can decide for yourself which one is the dog ... Just wanting to get some tips, advice and meet new people. See a lot of people on our travels (only been doing it a few weeks) but hoping to do it for awhile. A lot of negative people about saying 'you can't do that' 'but what if...'. Well we are lol. Was hoping to find somewhere that connects people who might be local to you. There are a lot of campers who wave or look as if they'd like to approach but not being that confident ourselves it's not quite that simple! Would love to get to know people and get some experience anyway. Happy adventures everyone

Hi Gemma Chris and Bo, we are not full timers, but I generally find that having a dog helps in meeting new people. We parked up down at Cold Knap Beach (Near Barry - South Wales) and very soon our dog was playing with the one in the van next to us, and we ended up chatting for hours. Same staying at Bosherston (Pembrokeshire) farmers field site there, which tends to attract full timers. Hope you have a great experience guys,

Hi and welcome from Co Antrim, dont listen to the nay brigade, get out and about and enjoy before its to late in life, care home beds are lumpy. 😂

Gemma, Chris and Bo

Welcome to all three of you, but remember to always keep your dog under control when sited and secured when travelling.

e.g.
very soon our dog was playing with the one in the van next to us,

Which implies that at least one wasn't on a short lead.

I've just spend a few days with the dog from next door finding our pitch much better to use as the toilet.

Spoke with the owners and they apologised, but within an hour he was allowed out freely and back on our pitch.

Is Gemma the dog? I'm in awe of dogs with a good command of English and small enough paws to avoid the typos.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome from me also. I generally find motorhomers never want to talk to me. They wave like mad on the road but once parked up if I go staggering over with a case of Special Brew and me guitar they pretend not to be in. Anti social some of em I reckon. 🫣
