That looks good definitely on the to do list were off to Stranraer next week Ih motorhome meet then a wander up to Cullen castle couple of days and take the rest of the time on a steady ride home

A favourite poi of mine is CR Monreith, maybe worth a stop heading to Stranraer, great views of the Mull of Kintyre and Isle of Man.

Another longer and slightly rougher drive is Leacainn Forest Drive just north of Inverary. It's open seasonally, not sure of the dates this year. Some fantastic views.

I had a trip round the drive by car today, and was most impressed. The surface is much improved since last time I was there and the motorhome spaces are clearly marked. A few, particularly area E are quite small spaces, I reckon that my 6 m van would just fit with overhang but most are larger. I particularly liked the views from B, E and O. Some may like advance warning that there was no phone signal anywhere, and with the mountains and trees tv reception may not be possible.
The £3 fee is payable online, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Wild Camping - Online Booking
I haven't worked out if you also pay the normal visit fee of £2 at the machine, this appears to be a daily fee so would expire at midnight if overnighting.
Whilst the exit is locked at 5, apparently the rangers advise the lock code in case you need to leave overnight.
