Hi, Currently in Cahors parked up by the river & online on the netbook in the van thanks to a hotel down the road with a powerful wi fi signal.

Every shop / supermarket etc that we have used in France we have been told that the wedding was wonderful & did we enjoy it ? The ladies seem a bit miffed when we reply " didnt see it actually"

So far added 8 more Aires to go on the database on our return.

I envy you. We have used that very spot in Cahors a number of times and, spookily, as I read your post I was sipping some of the delightful red nectar from that area that we brought back with us in March. Unfortunately it has almost run out - you couldn't bring a crate or two back with you could you?

Btw, was there a wedding?

We were at Cahors a few nights ago, probably parked at the same spot (abot 100 yards past the official aire which only has 3 bays) Also picked up the wifi from the Chatreuse restaurant. Found quite a few places for free wifi, at the aire St Vincent de Cosse on the Dordgne. A private aire which also has a restaurant & canoe hire, free to stay without any obligation. Also got free wifi at Pont de Sellars & Vers. Got wifi on the campsite at Les Eyzies (also free as we won a free week camping on the site) Campsite is pretty empty but there are a couple of aires here with quite a few motorhomes there.

Struggling to get a good signal from the van, having to use an aerial (Solwise Rocket) but even then it's not very strong.

BTW what wedding????????? Haven't bothered much with the satellite just watched a few videos off the freeview hard disk. Also found that we can get some of the French digital freeview programs in English the same as we could in Spain but not as amny.

Spot on Kontiki with place & wifi. Our fifth visit in 8 years. Sorry John but mayor has just decreed all wine must be consumed on site ( health & safety ) Worry not lad I shall drink enough for both of us tonight. Dezi

I knew there was a reason I hated H&S!! Enjoy your drink - I will be thinking of you when I open my bottle of inferior but much more expensive plonk from a British supermarket.
