My Talbot pilote has two batteries in engine plus a leisure battery inside does anyone know what this is about? All three are connected to bunches of red wires ( you can tell I'm no expert). I'm getting probs with battery power loss.

other engine one

Thanks ***** the one inside under passenger seat is the leisure one but I've got that plus two in engine one each side.

It's not unusual to have 2 engine start batteries wired in parallel, (almost essential on early DI transits in winter). If you have a thick (starter) cable connecting the positives of the 2 under bonnet batteries then they will be both start batteries.

Where are you getting your power loss? Engine or interior. Although these issues can be relitively simple to diagnose on the vehicle, it is rather difficult to do it remotely, but a little more info. may help.

Never heard of two in the engine compartment:confused:
Trucks have two x 12 volt batteries to make them 24 volt.
I wonder if you have 2 X 6 volt batteries, strange and I doubt it, but have you checked, or maybe you have 2 X leisure batteries and one of them is the second leisure battery:confused:

I've got two starter batteries (parallel) in my Merc 508d

I have a feeling the third battery is more likely to be linked up in parallel to the leisure battery and the reason it is under the bonnet is that there is no more room under the passenger seat;)
