Hi, there's plenty to see in Ireland, especially the west coast, but, have a look at the ferry prices first, plus its very expensive over there too.
Look in the Irish section on here, theres plenty of info there.
Cheers, Pete

we were ther last yr-same time.
dont bother with southern..arrogant and expensive(although the guiness factory was very good)

It is no more expensive in the North than it is in mainland.
I save my tesco vouchers and change them to stenaline vouchers to go to the mainland. It cuts down on expense

ireland visit.

we are thinking of going from fishgaurd and returning to stranrear, that way we don't have to double back.ferry works out at just over £300.we have tesco vouchers so may look into using those.

Did you see Coast last week (it will be on again!) they did the west coast of Ireland-looks beautiful, certainly a place we plan to visit.

Scotland is our first love too. However we discovered Ireland last year - wonderful - Southern Ireland is friendly and beautiful. The pretty town of Trim is lovely. We found it a little expensive but not too bad. The people were very friendly, pubs made us very welcome. Southern Ireland is a great place. We went from Pembroke - it's cheapest to go late at night - about £120 return. The dog goes free - you can book a kennel for free or he can stay in the MH.

Cead mile failte- 100,000 welcomes.
:)
U surely always welcome in Ireland b ut beward: anywhere near Dublin DO use a site: in the area circa 40 miles Dublin nothing safe and no one. They stab, shoot, kill for price of a fix 'cos no penalty worth a damn! I so hate tohave to say it but....it really is bad so please, please , do notthink of wild camping 0 and i have been wild camping all over Europe for decades and the only place I've ever been attacked was here at home in Ireland!
Ok if you find isolated places or harbours or villages whatever well away frome East Coast-(Fermanagh lakeland and The Sperrins for instance are terriffic as are lots and lots of country and coastal places are usuallu ok . Best find locals with m'homes and ask advice: they will know what's what and on that basis Please Do consider coming.
Re ferries: check Irish Ferries (generally cheapest all year round) and also Stena Line, P&O Irish Sea, and a new one viz:Cork Swansea. Avoid week-ends;look for price options!
And ask for help like Irish Motorcaravaners Club. (IMCCC) I used to be a member and they are the friendliest lot about and really go out of their way to help and welcome ye Sassenachs. Beware the other guy-he's a big commercial rip-off. Forget his site name but don'nt want to remember it either.
