To-day at about 4-30 we were shopping in Aldi near Trentham, Stoke on Trent, we were packing our bags, when a woman started to look around and she got very worried, whilst she had packed her bags she started reading the offers leaflet and some thieving scumbag stole all her shopping.

One to watch out for over here now, You come out of the shop and a nice man and his wife point out to you that there is a pool of oil under your car just as you loading the shopping in the car the oil they put there when you went in to the shop, while you are looking to see were the oil as come from the nice man and his wife have gone to the shop there friends have taken anything they can get there hands on .

To be honest John she must have been a little negligent![/QUOTE]

Negligent or not ***** you wouldn't expect this to happen with your weeks shopping. It is easy to say after the fact, I think all of us have been lax and done something stupid in our lives.

Hi
We came out of an Aldi in Italy last year, loaded shopping and wine ok but found back tyre flat and while changing it we had wife's bag hooked from drivers side of our van. We changed the tyre but did not notice theft of bag, until four hours later. The cost, 1 tyre stabbed with knife £116 2 passports 230 Euros, also lost credit cards, mobile phone and about £150 cash. None of this is covered by insurance, as it is classed as van unattended, the insurance company was a waste of space.we sorted all the problems out with family at home sending money by western union and caravan & camping club by email. The police said we were lucky not to catch them in the act as the scum always carry knives. We decided only to stay on secure sites after that, but we did notice all the sites had electric gates and guards patrolling at night. We have a safe in the van but when travelling every day you tend to drop your guard a bit We have now decided to take up Baseball a great game.Keep safe and carry on camping.

Eldest son was in Madrid last year using his laptop outside a cafe.
It was snatched from him by a youth on a motorcycle and he was too shocked to react.
He had to report this to the police as the laptop contained company data, he is a senior Microsoft technical manager....they said he was lucky he made no move as the technique was for the rider to snatch and the pillion rider to stick a knife through any hand used to attempt to retrieve the laptop.
They showed him some gruesome pictures of previous incidents..

Here's another one *****, I've been told this morning that they've even pinched Foley oatcakes trailer.

When I was out in Angola, I regularly had my front and rear lights nicked on my Toyota pickup. The vehicles were stored in a compound surrounded by razor wire and there were (supposedly) 2 armed guards at night.

I sometimes got called out and had to drive with one hand and shine a big torch out of the window to see where I was going. It is a wonder that the Mine security guards did not use me for target practice because they were very jumpy in the wee small hours.

This would never happen at Waitrose!

This is not a thief, this is a Marks and Spencer thief ...( wears shirt and tie and says thank you before disappearing with his swag)

Who said retail has lost its detail ?

If I was using my laptop in public, I'd use a Kensington lock cable. That'd show the thieving buggers!
