They Say Life Began In The Oceans

So before you ask....and again at the risk of starting a debate lol....

Do I believe in Aliens?

Yes...two reasons...the laws of probability with the numbers of Galaxies and stars
out there....and....you back up your data don't you?...why shouldn't a species try
and back up their world as soon as they were able?

Whether we will ever meet any because of the distances involved is unlikely.

If we were visited would they be hostile or friendly?

The odds would be hostile, as they would be here for their reasons and would have
travelled a great distance to get here. If they do...we would be in big trouble...even
Stephen Hawking thinks they would simply take because they have no need to
negiotate.

Would we ever have a 'Battle for Los Angeles' type scenrio do you think?

No...if they can get here, then they can just grap a few asteroids of a mile or
two in diameter and drop them on us. As a world we would have little choice but to
surrender.

Is it likely to happen?

No.....two reasons....the distances involved....and our own bacteria and viruses.
(The War of The Worlds reasoning)....they couldn't live on the surface or work without
secure environments for them. They would be confined to Orbital Habitats most likely,
however they could force us to 'deliver the goods' to pick up locations.

So they could not really afford to drop a lot of asteroids on us or destroy our world
to any great extent in the first place.

A much more likely 'contact' would be after years of study of our languages with an
offer of trade by remote control robotic device whether they are actually hostile or not.

However it's a lot of trouble to go to either way with little prospect of a good result
for them....so they'll probably not bother us at all, even if they could.

sleep easy....lol.
