Can anyone tell me where we can get thermal screen covers for a ford transit, I'd imagine that it would be an any size fit.
Cheers Sandy

Try Silver Screens, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. Excellent quality, great price.

I agree with Silver screens as well, just brought some from them for Makzine. Hopefully not to keep the snow off :)

Did you require external or internal just bought for talbot internal screens from Justkampers 25 pound inc postage arrived next day have seen some external at local motorhome dealer for 73 ponds at coupland caravans louth lincolnshire i think fitted most vans good luck john

I have silver screen too og Cleckheaton and whilst not the cheapest they do seem effective ..

Reflecting heat in Summer, and insulating in winter.

if it is the insulation side you are considering, remember to close the air vents on the dash and consider improving insulation from what is a van cab to the habitation area..

I have done it with two sets of curtains ...but so far I cant pass a judgement on how effective this solution is

Silver screens

Many thanks to those who replied I am still looking at the web sites, however I have tried a couple of experiments and found one particulary effective, bubble wrap against the windows (the large square type) and thick curtains around the cab I think with another heavy curtain separating the living area from the cab should suffice.
My van is a 1989 model

What is this large square type of bubblewrap? I'd like to try it.

Silver screen / Bubblewrap

Hi mustardseed
Large square bubblewrap it comes in large sheets and the buble measures 2ins square my daughter who is a school secretary got it at school as it comes protecting books etc I reckon if you try your local school or bookstore you might be able to get it.We put it on and it made a huge difference and it also looks like mullioned windows from the outside
Good luck and merry xmas and a guid new year.

PS (my wife says the best way to fit it is to put thin elastic across the windows and put the bubblewrap between that and the window.)

Hi on another site there has been discussion of silver screens drop in quality using thinner material has anyone got screens from Taylor Maid also yesterday there was a ford transit screen cover on ebay sorry to be a day late with this piece of info but they may relist if it didn't sell

Hello
Silver Screens Cleckheaton
Usually has some second hand because he takes them back in part ex. if you change your van.
I got a set less than a year old and appear to be unused for about half the price of new.
Give him a ring.

Blue Skies

In common with others on here I have Silverscreens from Cleckheaton, Not the cheapest but top quality. Mine stayed on through last winter's ice and snow and still look as good as new. I had a discount for collecting from the factory. Just off M62 near Bradford.
Previously used interior thermal screens but they are nowhere near as effective.

Silver Screens the original and best Motorhome cab window insulation !
