Great pics. Trev. No sign of any snow up there?. I remember when Alston used to be snowed under in winter.Used to go up there in summer for day trips, the whole family on the back of a bedford pick up :eek:with ranch style fencing fixed to the side and tail boards to stop us falling out.
Those were the days:rolleyes:

PS I'm talking about the 1960s, before seat belts and stuff were even thought about and I was still in junior school:eek::D Short khaki pants and all:cool:

Fencing to keep you's apart and stop you falling out with each other:rolleyes:

Yes, I will second that.
Great pics and location:cool::cool:
Hi *****,
Location is good its a few miles from Hartside Hight a place of natural outstanding beauty its about 1900 ft above sea level;)

I will have to ask if you want Gary, but if not there is one or two place just along the road with room for a few vans.;)

We have stayed several times on the large layby at the boarder to Weardale. on the top of Alston moor. watched the grouse bobbing up out of the tufts of grass. & the sheep for company. not all that level, but safe & quiet.
