It looks like there's some hidden treasures down at the local tip, I see from some of the threads you can pick up half full gas bottles, computer fans, is this the new ebay??

Not all Councill run tips allow yo to buy stuff that other people have left
In Bolton where I live you have no chance of getting some bargains , but when I lived in the west country I had access to all sorts of recycleable goods .

There used to be a wonderful tip at St Day. You used to be able to buy all sorts of wonderful things there. Now, they will not sell you anything. It all gets bulldozed.
I don't know if you knew the place but they had some submarine batteries there for ages. A bit too big for a Motorhome

There was a great pasty shop in St Day .
I use to get to St Day once a month when I was working as a van driver from the Exeter base .

All I've seen for sale at our tip is a couple of rotting rabbit cages and old fashioned non matching chairs. not very exciting.

Looks like we were very lucky with our half full gas bottles. We will have to arrange a wild meet at our local tip!! Lol!

Perhaps another source of gas bottles is ................ Your local Calor depot, Every time I have been to my local Calor depot in Swindon there has been loads of non calor bottles dumped outside. What must happen is peeps take them there, Calor refuse to touch them so rather than take the bottles home peeps just dump 'em. So if you already have a flowgas or any other non calor regulator and or pigtail this may be your answer
