The "Thank You" button

Would it be possible to have the "Thank You" button back? This was one of the best innovations that I have seen on the Forum

I totally agree, I want to be able to say thanks too.

At times, it was also the most misused feature of the forum, so I'm not sorry to see it missing.

If someone posts some good information then why not post a message saying what it was that was helpful - especially the original poster advising the outcome and acknowledging that information received helped in solving the problem. Too often we get frantic cries for help, lots of assists and that is the last we hear from the OP.

Until the next time they get in trouble.

Tony if you post usefull information and someone other than the OP reads it and finds it helpfull it is easier to click the thank you, on some threads to post an aknowledgment could mean several posts to different members when a thank you says it all.
With regard to the OP not getting back in reply to help that is another matter.

By the way the thank you button is not to be replaced :( ---- according to Phil it is to be replaced with and I quote :confused:

"We are going to have a Like button instead. This will be linked to facebook. "

that's what i've done ... also if someone has already posted what you were about to say i would say a thank you as an agreement to a post

No good for me as i avoid that facebook like the plague:mad:

Perhaps to keep things even-handed we could have a "you are a numpty" button as well.
 
No way

Why anyone would want to use Facebook is beyond me. Did you know writs can now be legally served via this medium. We criminals have enough time avoiding being found:cool:
