If going to 'the point' beware of the road that's takes you past the pub to the car park, it,s sectioned off and cannot be used as undermined by the winter storms, you can still get to the pub car park by going all the way down and then bearing left , going up round the back of the garden , using the road to the lifeboat station

West angle bay was still as stunning as ever !

Enjoy if down that way

But not if your that ' Hobbie' motorhome that pulled up in west angle bay and threw your washing up bowl full of water out of the window over the car park...shame on you

I can believe it. We were there early December and road was looking a tad dodgy then.

I don't suppose whether you noticed if Phill's binos were still hanging on the fence post at the top of the lane down to the lifeboat station? It took him about 2 months to realise where they must be. Numpty!

We were there at the weekend. The road is still closed and if you walk along it you can see that it would be OK with a small car but anything more would risk toppling over the edge as it has been eroded from underneath.

I presume that it will be mended in time as the road to the lifeboat station is in fact a private road, and it would not be good to be in the way if the lifeboat was called out.

Phill's binos weren't there at all. They were in pieces behind the dresser they'd fallen down the back of.

Stopped at the pub tonight.

Staff very friendly, beer excellent, and food reasonably priced and fair quality.

It's a very dog friendly place, with water bowls everywhere outside, and unrestricted access inside.

Regarding stopping overnight, they ask for a donation to RNLI and there's a collecting 'lifeboat' on the bar. A really good idea if you ask me :D

Beware the access road is full of potholes and must be taken very slowly. The road at the front of the pub remains unrepaired and closed. A diversion is signposted.

When we stopped I expected it to be a donation to the RNLI but it was the local football club.

Beware that access road. The most dangerous bit is the erosion of the road from underneath. A month ago we had a walk along checking it from the beach & saw that a lot of the supporting subsurface has been washed away. If you're in something large, please have a walk on the beach to see if it is still the same.

I just put my donation into the 'lifeboat' so it was my choice ...

The damaged road is closed off with a barrier so you cannot use it. There is a diversion signed passing behind the pub in the direction of the RNLI station.

Ah, we were specifically asked for the football club, other wise it would have been the RNLI.

I was worried that you had gone down the original road not realising how badly damaged it was. Stay put if they call the lifeboat out.:scared:
