The local rubbish tip

Was at my local rubbish tip dumping the usual crap that you accumulate in your cupboards when in their recycle shop i found some disposable barbeques ,a pack of melamine cutlery and a spaghetti cooker (you fill it up with boiling water add spaghetti screw on thermos lid and it cooks in 10 mins ...well so the instuction book says lol) the whole lot cost me 2quid which was a bargain. Another place is freecycle which people advertise their not worth dumping stuff,to which I got a couple of self inflating mattresses . . .ideal for some extra comfort in the Bongo's roof.I reckon if i went out and brought it all new it would have set me back 80quid or more. Needless to say we will be taking all these items with us to wales.

Excellent bargains .. I love a bargain or three! Well they reckon one man's trash is another's treasure, so Keeeep Hunting (as they nearly say on strictly)

Society encourages us to throw perfectly reasonable stuff away so that jobs can be created for people to make new things.

An extreme example would be the Gov scrappage scheme. It just shows how easy it is to keep stuff instead of renewing and in a few months, what a catastrophic effect that has on certain industries to the extent that people have to be paid to change their cars.

MY other car is a Cavalier 1.7 Diesel 1993. Done nearly 200,000 and still going strong. Does over 55 mpg on the motorway.
