Could you knowledgeable people give some help to those of us who are new to Motorhoming by adding commonly used ACRONYMS to this thread which may relate to our hobbies. I asked for help on another thread today but the answer had another ACRONYM that i couldn't work out!!!

The ones i know already are:-

EHU electiric hook up

C&CC the caravan and camping club

CC the caravan club

POI point of interest (sat nav related)

Please help me understand what someone means when they use one:confused:

Cheers
Ian

SAMCS is the Scottish Area Motorcaravan Section of the Camping and Caravanning club.

work

I know what you are saying, but at work they have updated the software on my machine and everytime I do something, the computer tells me that it has detected that I have used acronyms and do I want it amending!! figure that one out.

I work in the IT industry and the only one I use (as it makes me laugh) is UFU which means User F..k Up. It could be applied to motorhoming or anything where end users try to fix or meddle with stuff, it goes wrong and they have to call an expert. 75% of calls I get are UFU's

Fubar

Ther is always good old F.U.B.A.R - F***ed Up Beyond All Recognition

Hi Scotsy,
If you have your new monthly C&CC magazine, go to the out and about section, and the THS section and most of the acronyms are self explanatory.
Hope this helps.

Happy Camping:)
Bill.
