We have wild camped 800 nights in the 12 years we have had a van. In that time we have only been disturbed by idiots on a handful of occasions. The other night I heard a car go by and stop. I thought, here we go. It was just gone midnight and the passenger got out and threw an egg at our windscreen, before the car sped off at speed. It occurred to me that such an incident required prior planning. It's sad that this country has become so intolerant and selfish.

Where was this?

Had a car revving it's ar5e off parked within inches of us, which the goons thought was hilarious. More recently had nobheads blasting their horn which was to the tune of "Dixie" [I ask you!] then doing donuts near us, again it was hilarious - apparently? Like all idiots their attention span is very short, they tired of us ignoring them so they soon buggered off.

This was at Calshot, near Southampton. Plenty of vans park there overnight, ignoring the signs saying that it is not permitted, however we were in an area where there are no such restrictions. I reckon it was one of six boy racers that sped past us some time earlier. I saw the car involved. It was a £60K Jaguar sports car.

So they could afford to waste 1 egg then?...There are some sad people about ! We also wild a lot. We have had a few noisy places but no hassle !
Just young noisy drunks...Why do they insist on smashing the bottles ?

We were peacefully parked in a rural layby near Burnham on Crouch one Sunday lunchtime a few years ago when an egg was thrown into our offside mirror, with quite a lot going into the mirror housing. It took a couple of hours to clean out at a CCC site that evening.

We'd only been there 10 minutes, so it couldn't have been premeditated: the nearest shops were in the opposite direction so I suspected someone going to a farmshop in order for "mummy" to make Yorkshire puddings.

C'est la vie!

When it happened to us it was snowing and I assumed the thud on the windscreen was a snowball. The morning revealed scrambled egg with shell frozen onto the screen ........... hey ho!

So thoughtful to having it frozen for you in the morning for breakfast. :)

We have them tear arsing past our front door in a 30 zone. It is generally not “boy racers” but thirty odd year olds who appear to suffer from the little Prince 🤴 syndrome.

Bet that couldn’t change a wheel…

Cheers

A £60K Jaguar sports car with hooligans in it = drug dealers.

Due to covid some people are suffering with mental issues and have lost the plot
