many thanks John:)

Hi John. Just a copy of my reply in the Easter 2009 thread.

Hi. The car park we stopped on was in Dawlish Warren, see here:-

Google Maps

Or try 50:35:41N 3:26:38W (" 50.595 -3.444 ") copy and paste (without collons) into google maps if link won't work.

There is not an official waist dump but there is a toilet block by the entrance to the carpark, also on the beach side of the railway there is a toilet block with showers (very clean) and a drinking water supply, although you would need containers as you cannot drive near to it. (" 50.5981 -3.4412 ") should put an pointer on top of the block in "satallite" image.

By the way the carpark at Dawlish road Teignmouth is the other one mentioned which also permits overnighting.

I did a bit more googling last night to find dawlish warren looks a canny place for a couple of days at the beech. The fresh water will come in handy cos her in doors uses it like its going out of fashion:):)

Last year when we drovedown some narrow road with tall hedged sides in to Dawlish, I realised it was a bit tight for room, also near to the see - so I drove on out of there...

I think we ended up in Teignmouth for the night - large carpark and no driving worries.

good luck

Craig
