It’s not often we buy something for use in the kitchen that isn’t operated by electricity that actually works as advertised, but today, all expectations were exceeded when we used the above.
It’s a hand operated chopper. We wanted a non electric blender/chopper to use in the van and had an idea that we had seen one you press down on the top to operate the chopping blades.
After lots of searching we found this. It chops meat, fruit, veg and ice. It operates by pulling a cord in the lid to rotate the blades.
Anyway, not expecting too much, I cut a squash into 1 inch cubes, filled the bowl and pulled the cord 5 times. Result? Finely chopped squash and two amazed faces!
Next up, 3 carrots cut into 1-1.5 inch chunks. Another 5 pulls and we got grated carrot.
We bought the one with multifunction blades and ice crusher blades.
Did I say we were impressed with it? For around £20, it’s one of the best kitchen gadgets we have ever bought.
I can thoroughly recommend it.
Oops, it’s so good, it attached itself twice!
