I have a new partner who has never motorhomed before and I have to teach him the 'ways' of motorhoming,I have done it for years traveling far and wide but he's very apprehensive about living in close proximity to another person in a small space and enjoying the nomadic way of life. How are we going to manage? Lol.

Coping

If, when you wake up each morning, there's a partner still next to you....we'll assume he's coping  Maja

get married, you then have no option but to be close.

Park up and explore your surroundings, return, have a nice meal and a bottle of wine, retire early to bed .........................................
...and all being well you will have avoided being gassed and robbed in the night.
He will love it.

Don't get married then you can move on if it doesn't work out.

Being close is the pinnacle of a relationship so use it as a shortcut to finding out if he is the 'right one'.

When I met James 10 years ago, one of my make or break provisos was that he go camping. His youthful memories of tents was being cold and wet and a rock up his a....! He manly suffered camping until rossilli bay broke a steel frame tent. The Mazda Bongo came next. This was a good compromise between camping and being in the fresh air and having a little more comfort. But we got fed up with not having our own toilet and moving the luggage around. We then splashed out on a large motorhome. This was used for holidays and weekends. It was then replaced with another one that we have been full-time in for nearly 3 years. How about this for relationship development?!

Ha.... I had been unsuccessfully trying to get my wife to try camping for years... we had a one night stay in my little 2 man dome tent and she decided it was not for her... so when I suggested we get a motorhome I thought I had no chance...6 months of persuasive arguments resulted in us getting our first one in October. Much to my surprise she absolutely loves it and is prepared to forgoe her 5 star hotel stay abroad this year to pay for a reupholstering job (her suggestion).
