Tan Hill

Great stuff chilled glass of lager fire pit Tan Hill, making me thirsty oops not at 4:44am, good make over on the half track tractor.

Many years ago, went to the Tan Hill to camp, it was so windy we couldn't get the tent up. it was lashing with rain and hail, it was horrendous. The landlord let us sleep in the bar which was brilliant of him as he didn't know us from Adam.
Can't wait to get up there again.

Every year there’s a 2cv “raid” to Tan Hill in the first week of January. It’s sometimes quite snowy. These were taken in 2004.

Friend of mine was up there a few years back Ral when everybody got snowed in for a few days over new year.

I'm not sure about the bright lights and fast music for that type of pub though. I think I would prefer a couple of fiddlers playing a bit of diddly dee and some old lanterns for atmosphere. I suppose they have to attract the youngsters though.
