Talks back on for Rosyth to Dunkirk (not Zeebrugge) ferry?

Interesting. Can you remember what you paid for the Rosslare to Spain leg?
It was £934 return around this time last year, but that was with a pet cabin which is a bit more expensive than a standard one.

Indeed . IF it gets up and running I'll need to get calculator out .
Pleased it is DFDS
At least DFDS is a legitimate company with ships and permission to use the docks. Unlike one company who were mates with Boris who got paid 'A Lot Of Money" for setting up a cross - North Sea route for importing goods post B*****t when they had no ships, no ports and no shipping company.

We used the overnight truck ferry once, a bit cheaper and you get a cabin EACH, plus dinner and breakfast included.
What truck ferry was that Pudsey? I tried booking one and was firmly replied to "We don't take motorhomes, only commercially registered HGVs and vans"

Though they did , bizarrely, have loads of money !
Whoops better step away from the politics

I dont get it, you can drive rosyth to dover in 11-12 hours, the catch the tunnel another 1.5 hrs and your in calais,

Why would you spend 1.5 hours loading then 20 hours on a ferry, then 1.5 hours unloading, thats a whole day out of your holiday or out of your bexit prison break if your like us ,
Ferries do my head in at the best of times, even the 7.5 hours italy greece ferry with glorius sunset and the views of the islands didnt work for me

I hate the drive to Dover though. It's just a slog, and not part of the holiday for me. I find the busy motorways stressful, I'd happily pay to avoid them
I totally agree, the long haul down to the ferry, or tunnel is a nightmare, always wondering if there is going to be any delays en route. Then there is the rush to get as far down as possible before the eight o clock motorway closures, with all the weird diversions.

I can't remember their name, but there was a truck ferry that you could travel on,I was going to use them but they stopped taking motorhomes about 3 years ago. I think there was only one company that did it.

Why would you spend 12 hours driving on UK roads when you can spend 20 hours relaxing?

IF it happens I'm sure it will suit many . Pretty sure I'll be giving it a try , depending on cost .
Will be easy then to do a comparison. Like lots of you I've driven to and from Dover countless times
