Whilst looking through old paperwork yesterday I came across an old receipt for a Talbot CXL D552TTO we bought from Brownhills of Newark in 1986. We had bought a Talbot SL the previous year to replace a Sherpa Auto Sleeper. The only problem with the SL was the weight of the roof it was so wide the extra weight was a problem so we went back for the CXL. This was when Auto Sleeper were Quality and Brownhills was a good dealer owned then by Roger Pearce. Out of curiosity I checked the reg no with DVLA to my amazement it is still taxed an MOT'd. I wonder if the owner is a forum member.
