This auction is for our treasured and very well looked after H registration Talbot Express Compass Drifter 2.5 diesel engine.
She is H registration and is MOT'd to next March and taxed to the end of August 2014. She has been very well looked after by two previous owners, one of whom owned her for many years and treasured her greatly. Hence why, despite her age, she is still a beauty that has drawn a lot of compliments as being in such good order for her age.

We purchased the motorhome in April this year and have invested a lot of money and time in sorting out issues. Although she easily passed her MOT with the last owner, we purchased her with an advisory and various little issues such as tyres nearing the end of their lifespan and so we had them sorted out. We anticipate that the next MOT would be sailed through, especially as she's done a low mileage over this summer. We're extremely sad to let her go but unfortunately she's too small for our expanding family needs! We had no intention of selling her, hence why we invested so heavily in her this year.

What we have invested in:

•She has had a new cam belt fitted, and whilst we had her at the garage we decided to have all of the engine belts replaced.
•She has four brand new quality tyres (we chose some high grip brands).
•She has had a full alarm fitted.
•She was upgraded from one to two leisure batteries, both are new 110 Amp; .
•She's had a new custom built roof rack which is sturdy enough to strap on kayaks, boats and so on. There's also a good sized roof box so ample storage space on top.
•Her leaf springs were old and saggy and had an advisory. Not unusual for a motorhome her age, but mega expensive to replace. We opted for ingenious leaf spring assistors, which has perked her back up to her original height and handling. They are so sturdy and solid that they should last for ever, unlike leaf springs or cheaper fixes for this problem.
•She had a new burner fitted to her hot water boiler, another common feature to wear out over time.
•She's had her grill fixed and the oven and hob burners have all been serviced at the same time.
•Her driver and passenger seats have been upgraded to full leather ones. The passenger seat still fully swivels round but they're no longer old and shabby, and are more comfortable, and with added armrests.
•She now has a flat screen TV with DVD fitted, which recieves all the freeview channels (according to location). The roof aerial is brilliant and we've had no issues picking up all the available channels.
•The cassette toilet seals have been replaced as they were rather old and leaky!
•Her engine battery was also worn down so we gave her a new one (these batteries are not cheap!).

All these 'little' things have added up to a considerable cost - other motorhomes her age are unlikely to have been as well invested in and would possibly have all the same age-related issues that we have dealt with. We love her to bits.

Other features about her:
•She has an immaculate heavy duty laminate floor instead of grotty old carpet. Easy to keep clean and swept, and a carpet runner will fit down perfectly for those who like carpet beneath their toes.
•Her fridge is both gas and electric and works brilliantly, it has a small freezer compartment as well. The oven which was replaced in recent years, looks to have barely been used. Oven, hob and grill are all gas.
•The bathroom has a lift down sink, shower and Thetford cassette toilet. The shower tray is cracked and needs attention; this was out only oustanding job, which we left until last because most campsites have showers.
•There is one double bed above the drivers cab (with ladder) and another which doubles as seats and dining during the day, making it four berth.
•Rear seat belts in forward facing seats.
•The water tank we measured as about 75 litres.
•Blinds with fly screens. The one at the door was replaced but another of the old ones has since given up the ghost. They're about £30 on ebay and very easy to fit.
•Ample cupboards, wardrobe with clothes rail, and bathroom cabinet (mirrored front).
•An outside awning with zip on sides (with clear 'windows' and door) make a useful additional space.
•Fabulous bodywork for her age; no leaks anywhere.
•There is also a slide out disabled access ramp at the door.
•She has a gas heater for any colder days and nights.

• So, the only two issues are the shower tray and one blind, which are both pretty inexpensive repairs to make.

This is an absolute must-see and a total steal of a price for all the investment we've made in her. She really is a lovely motorhome and we will be sad to see her leave us, but hope her new owners will love her and look after her as we and her previous owners have.

Hi I wish people would post on here when the motor is no longer FOR SALE, :mad1:

It`s just the same in the For Sale / Wanted section, a lot of people don`t bother to update their advert.

I always put a SOLD in the first and last post of my ads.
