SOLD SOLD SOLD
1992 Talbot Express, K reg, approx 79k miles.
MOT until May 2018.
Good tyres all around
In the last year or so, the van has had a new alternator, starter motor, waterpump, all belts replaced including timing, engine decontamination treatment and just last month oil, oil filter and air filter change.
Rear U shaped lounge, makes large bed and double bed above the cab.
Bathroom re-tiled with plastic "Easy Tile", there was water ingress in the bathroom but this has been cured, as has ingress in the rear nearside corner, the rotten wood has been removed and new inserted along with two part wood replacement filler and given a generous coating of damp repellant sealant.
I have then covered the repaired wall with a section of laminate flooring, and continued right across the rear just to even up the look, which is mostly hidden by the cushions anyway.
New habitation carpet in the last month, insulation material laid first to help with warmth in the colder months, all floor cupboards lined with silver "bubble" insulation material.
The van has marks and scars consistent with age, the worst being the offside wing with the usual rust from the factory misplacing a drain tube, it has rusted through in a small area and could be easily filled, but included in the sale are two new half wings I purchased to be on the safe side. The nearside wing has just a small scab of surface rust, sale also comes with two tins correct colour white and touch up paint stick.
All appliances work as should.
Recently the headlight glass on drivers side got smashed and has been replaced with a lhd unit, I have a new passenger side lhd to go with the van.
Gear change is typical Talbot, ie can be temperamental, JK Towers has replaced the gear linkages and nine times out of ten is fine.
Tow bar and frame fitted to rear, I think the previous owner may have had a rear box fitted.
Roof rails fitted as is a rear ladder, but due to age (the van that is) and never the need, I have not been on the roof.
Probably more I should mention, but feel free to contact me for more info.
Asking £6595 Ono
Van in Basingstoke.
Paul 07719788867 or PM me.
Van will be available to view the coming week, but will be in use 14-16/7 then available again after that.
I would happily keep using this van and make the repairs, but have decided to purchase van with fixed bed and garage.
Cheers all.
