Going to view a Talbot Auto cruise, and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on them good and bad.
Have tried to do a bit of research on the internet, but cant find much
Its a J reg on a 91 plate, 3.5 tons 6 berth express 1300D
The advert says it is a 2 litre diesel, but i have been told it should be a 2.5 turbo diesel. its done 80000 miles. No power steering
Does anyone know if there is anything i should look out for on this model, and any thoughts on any aspect on this.
(Our current van has no power steering, but if we buy this one, would look to have power steering fitted if possible, as quite a heavy van not to have it)
Many thanks to anyone who replys

Hi
The TE is a good van but the petrol engines are better,it is probably a 1.9 diesel which is a bit harsh and under powered.
Look for rust under the windscreen and window pillars also the wheelarches and doors, the gearstick can be like stirring a pudding and to fit power steering you are looking at close to 2k so not worth it as it is fine when driving in a straight line but build up your muscles to park it.
I had mine written off in April after owning it for 3 + years and still miss it,you have to tinker all the time to keep them running well.
Look on Preloved | UK free ads - buy and sell with local classifieds under campervans there is a dedicated forum for them and loads of great advise from owners, also google "jktowers" it will give you all you need to know.
