This comes from my friend that is on our land in Portugal. The locals have started to phone the Police when they see motorhomes parking in or near the villages, He had a the police call round today but when he told them he had permission to park on the land they left him alone so I have just sent him an email giving him permission to be there incase the call again. The police told him that they are getting a lot of these calls from villages when they see strangers in the village

when i first started going to Portugal just after the revolution , everybody hated and feared the authorities, and wouldn't dream of calling the cops . most things got sorted 'in house' . what a change
