table trouble

I have a problem, not that big but it will be inconvient. So was wondering if anyone had experienced the same and knew how to sort it.
My computer flew out of the cupboard whilst travelling today, and has left a very big hole in my table. So now I either need to replace the top or whole table. I have trolled the net to look for such things and can't find anything. Has anyone any suggestions. Only polite ones please as I'm feeling a little fragile after a series of unfortunate events.

Don't know were in country you are but try doing a google for caravan breakers or dismantlers in your area, or caravan repairers they usually have something. How bigs the hole would a place mat type thing cover it or would it still bug you cos its damaged

Accidents happen and I hope your laptops OK!! I found a new table the other day on ebay, and I’ve just had a quick look and there's probably another 6/7 free standing tables running at the moment, so plenty to choose from. The other way is to go to one of the big Motorhome show that run around the country as they always companies there sell that sort of thing. Lastly you could always try the DIY method and fill the dent with a hard wood filler and then recover the top with a vinyl PVC or leather, simply stick it down on top and away you go!

Anyway I hope that help you sort your problem.

Thanks so much for the advice, I like all the ideas so will weigh n cost em. Then go for the cheap option. I rather like the fill n recover as the table is still good, just looks sick wiv the dent, bit like a wound on a leg.
This site is amazing, as being a single I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off, n me 9 year old tries but this is not his area yet!
