the front seats on my Toyota Regius

i have found swivel, ok so what......... not having an owners manual i have a cable obviously for safety but it disappears under the carpet

and i should imagine links up with the cable from other front seat, now to save me ripping the carpets out is there anyone out there who knows what it connects to (lever or electrical)

i cannot find anything please help

electrical wire under seats are seat belt warning-heating or adjustment. hi-tension cable is for safety to stop the seat ripping from the floor in an accident

Hi guys
below is a pic of under the drivers seat

original pic was from the passenger seat............ the cable in question is like a brake cable that needs pulling before you can push the button fully in to rotate the seat

sounds like a safety feature to me to stop the seat swivelling while driving happy camping

sorted , spent the morning investigating. Putting the drivers seat back rest in the folded position activates the swivel mechanism and locks the handbrake, when drivers seat is turned and locked that activates the passenger seat mech. Thanks alot Alf 1 for your help
