Swift skirts full of pinholes

HI, I don't know if anyone has come across this. I would like to know what"s causing it and what can be done to sort it. thanks. BTW year 2000.

Maybe loose chippings from the road?

thanks for the suggestion, however I don't think so as they are near the top of the skirt, where it joins the main side panels.

Bubbles in the fibreglass that the paint can't hide any more?

Same on my 2005 Kontiki. Skirting is aluminium and I think it is a reaction of some sort to paint or whatever. Does not look good or is hitting you in the face so not really concerned.

Same problem 2004 Kontiki. It seems to be where the 1" wide sticker runs along the skirt mainly, not sure whether its water being held under it. I am going to try removing the sticker and rubbing down the bubbles and spraying with ACID #8 etching primer from Halfords before spraying. This I intend doing on one skirt to see if it is successful before attempting the lot.. Anybody had a quote for this type of work ?

I read something similar years ago but cant remember where or what to do about it. not sure if it is a reaction between the aluminium and whatever the rest of the van is made of. just wondered if anyone has successfully sorted it.
