Hi all

Sorry but all I ever do here is ask questions - maybe one day I'll know some answers too!

This time I'm looking for advice about our bed. We have an Escape 685 (2017) with rear lounge which converts to a bed by pulling the slats out from the centre seat at the back. It was a hire van for a year before the previous owner had it and there's already been some repair work done.

The plastic runner on one side is completely mangled and 4 of the slats are missing/damaged. I have made some replacement slats which will be sturdy enough but can't find replacement runner anywhere except ebay - at £65 for a 2m length!

So, does anyone know where I can get reasonably priced runner, bed spares in general or even a breakers that bight have a decent replacement?
In central Scotland but could travel to collect.

Many thanks

Michael

Caravan breakers at Blaenavon are supposed to be good, or try O'learys near hull.

Thanks for your help folks, the breakers were mostly dead ends with several of those listed on Caravan Recycling In Scotland - New & Used Parts From Caravan Breakers not in business any more.

I bit the bullet and phoned a dealer (Knowepark near Livingston) and was shocked by the prices - pleasantly shocked!

I've got Swift genuine replacement runners (4.2m) 12 slats and ten slat end caps on order for £59.11 - including a £10 admin charge. I trully expected to be charged several hundred pounds for all of this so am quite delighted.

All the best

Michael
