Not for me but for my daughter. She has a lovely 2016 Renault Trafic converted to an almost pro standard by her ex-partner. I think it's still listed as a van on the V5.

AIB no bother, did not ask for pictures, but min is reged as a motorcaravan.

Thanks, Trev. AIB already on the list. Daughter is travelling with work just now so I offered to help. I expect to be ringing around tomorrow.
I'm with Comfort this year and their website says they will cover self builds subject to fulfilling certain conditions - whatever that means - so I'll try them too.

They are related to Adrian Flux in some way not sure entirely how. They insure my demountable unit, one of the few who will and they do self builds.

She's with Howden atm but asked me to obtain a few other quotes for comparison.

Aib also do breakdown cover for £100 on top of policy.

As always with insurance get as many quotes as you can.

DVLA refused to change our V5 to camper, so we are a 'van with windows' which made getting insurance difficult.
But Caravanwise (https://www.caravanwise.ltd.uk/motorhome/) were happy to take it at quite a reasonable rate.
They also provide European breakdown cover for an extra £50

Mines a self build registered as a van with windows. Insurance isn’t a problem

Phone AIB and speak to Johnny and he’ll not only sort you out a competitive quote when you mention your a member on here youll get yourself a discount. I saved myself £90 off a £500 policy when I mentioned I was a member on here.
