Yes yes yes, I know about Smart cars :D but does anyone have any other suggestions for a small car to tow behind the MH? The car will be on a trailer

I'm a bit of a 2CV fan and, for me, you couldn't get much simpler or do much better.

Thereagain, I also like Marmite so ....!

get yourself a classic mini.

It will open up a whole new area of shows & camping for you.

Theres mini clubs all over the UK.

Thats what we have.

dont think you can go wrong with a ford ka as ***** says cheap as chips to buy and run also minimal maintainance you can pick up one of the first models for a few hundred quid not the nicest things on the road but it will do what it says on the tin

I did wonder about the Ka but then came up against the weight thingy.
2CVs? Nice enough and I wouldn't have minded a Mehari but the ABS panels are now begining to look very suspect.
I want to put the car on a trailer and not have it on an A frame or Dolly as I reckon the days for method of towing are numbered.
I'll check the weights out for the Ka tomorrow - good call that one as they are simple little things

Right a Smart is 740kgs approx
a Ford Ka is 970kgs
and the little Fiat is only 675 - so we could be onto something here

What sort of car do you want?-New/secondhand-2-4door or hatchback/cheap tax/engine size?.I tow a Diahatsu sirion (on an a-frame) 4door hatch, room for 4 adults and a retriever in back,1.3 engine (down side for the 1.3 is £120 tax a year but the 1.0 is only £35)with aircon and weighs in around 780kgs.Good thing is all Toyota running gear(Yaris) and new on the road around 7grand(1.0 litre S).Hope this helps.Mick.:)

Balloo just drag the Grand Camion out of mothballs, then upon arrival at chosen destination you can drop the trailer and do a bit of bobtailing to look at the sights.

I was looking at doing a rack for either a couple of Velosolex or Honda step-thru until I watched some poor fatherless riding along in a downpour the other day :D - Now I fancy the comfort(?) of a little car

As the Bard wrote
"I've just bought a new Baby Austin
and I find it extremely exhaustin'
My elbows and knees
I can fit in with ease
but my middle parts have to be forced in"
