Hi. Has anyone used this POI, any comments? We’re looking for an overnighter close to the M6 south of Kendal..,assuming we escape Moffat tomorrow. This looks promising...and Lancashire Hotpot is tempting.

Not used the pub as an overnighted but have visited many times as my daughter lives nearby. Lovely pub, great food and a good selection of beer.
Car park is above and behind and will be very quiet.

Looking at the forecast I suspect the odds favour another night at Moffat. Certainly worse places to get snowed in.

We stayed here week before Christmas the chippy over the road is excellent and for real ale visit the factory tap but it doesn't open till 3.00pm

Park up, walk into the bar and pay there. I bumped into the chairman in the car park, he told me this.

I have a retirement bash to attend in Kendal in a couple of weeks and by chance it's at the Tap. Just shows you probably aren't aware of places which are quite local.

We use the Strickland arms on the way to the Scottish meets. Good food and beers :drive::dog:
