We left at dark O'clock Friday evening, so missed the entrance to the car park initially (Sat Nav not loaded with the POIs yet), but after turning round in a pub car park we found it on the return drive.
A big enough area to back up to the fence with a 7.5m van, so as not to impede the group (5 lads and lassies) of young people who had gathered at the end of the grit surfaced car park. We watched them to see what they were up to, but it seems it was just a meeting place, and after a couple of wheel spinning runs in one of the cars, the scooters and car left us to have our evening meal.
We were the only vehicle in the car park overnight, which had some lighting, being close to the main road. The traffic continued throughout the night, even though Chris thought it noisy, we slept ok.
The morning was a bit busier with dog walkers arriving around 8 - 9am, but the location very nice. Tame geese and ducks aplenty, but the swans came out of the water and walked right to you to get food out of your hand. They seemed to have no fear, and not agressive either.
We had to drag ourselves away for a 1250hrs appointment with an Aston Martin.
Would definitely use that location again.
