We've Just got back from Stratford after going to the market last night and today, the town have hosted this for the first time this year and what a wonderful job they have done.
It's right through the town, with wonderful lights a numerous stalls selling a good variety of goods.
If you're near tomorrow or Sunday I recommend a visit.
I will be checking out when it's on next year.

I totally agree Lee... well worth a visit. I think it's the best Christmas/Victorian market I've seen. I loved the way it spread right through the town and the fact that the normal shopkeepers joined in the spirit of the event by dressing up in Victorian costume... some even offering free mulled wine to customers! It was such an enjoyable event, both last night with all the gorgeous lights and today with the snow flurries.
I spent too much though

Also not forgetting the great pubs all close together when we guys get all shopped out waiting for the ladies doing there spending. .

Can recommend Keys and Kitchen:)

ETA: Giggling squid is good if you like Thai

This sounds and looks good glad you had a good time.
Started looking into next year too, I didn't realise just how organised these things are... wow it's like a travelling circus.

EDIT: P.S. Where did you stay?

We stayed behind the Leisure Centre 10 pounds for 24 hours, plenty of space and a short walk to town.
You can use the toilets in the Leisure Centre where there is a cafe aswell.

We were due to go for the weekend but in hotel for a change. Was also a chance to see granddaughter (2) as sons family live that area. We woke up yesterday to find 2 inches of snow so made the hard decision to cancel whole weekend. Sounds like we missed a good market. Will make a note for next year.
