I was parked up right on the coast in France overlooking the beach on a windy day a few years ago and could see in the distance a large german fortification. As I have always been interested in an form of military history I decided to have a shufti , It was quite a wet and windy day and i took a footpath down in the general direction of the bunker.
Some distance in front of me I could see a guy on the same path with his back to me , just stood there.
The path ,which was quite narrow, was not wide enough to pass without saying "Excuse me".
On approaching I could see that this guy was playing a full size Alpine horn.
I was expecting the rest of the cast of "The Sound of Music" to jump over the hedge.
