I was looking at routes to Eurotunnel, Folkestone, I tried the RAC Route Planner | Routes, maps & traffic updates, UK & Europe Put my address in the from box & typed in Eurotunnel in the to box. It gives me the options of 'Folkestone/Channel Tunnel (R), United Kingdom' or 'Z.A. Eurotunnel, Pas-de-Calais, France'. Obviously I select the one at Folkestone but the route takes me somewhere North of Lancaster :rolleyes2:.

Maybe they have been extending the tunnel to save us having the hassle of driving to Folkestone:wacko:

I can confirm that the Channel Tunnel is still near Folkestone - I went past it this morning :lol-053: - looks a bit damp and dark down the hole - mind you the Channel is pretty rough - Force 7 this morning and not very clear.

Hope you find your way down South OK !!

I've had this type of problem in the past, most annoying !!

You starting your journey from Wrexham ?

I normally let Tomtom get me there & Autoroute to do any planning, I was just looking at the RAC & AA routes to see if there were any planned motorway/road works on the route. Journey should be about 4-5 hours but like to allow a bit more & take our time, we usually drive overnight & get a crossing in the early hours of the morning, this time we are booked on the tunnel at 18:20 Sunday so roads shouldn't be too busy.

I hope your going to take the sensible route, i.e. not down the M6 !!

Wrexham - Oswestry - Shrewsbury - Kidderminster - M5 - M42 - M40 - M25 - M26 - M20 - Eurotunnel
