Hoping it blows itself out before tomorrow evening. Travelling Rosslare to Fishgaurd, could be awkward

We were just across from you yesterday afternoon on Arran on the north west side. As the wind increased we decided to move over to Corrie on the what I thought would be the lee sheltered side but the wind still found us. The shelter worked a bit but some of the gusts coming down off the hills were horrendous. Amazing you had a calm morning as it's been rough and windy all day here. Decreasing a tad now. Summers definitely over for sure.

we’ve reached arran today barry got ourselves tucked into the forestry car park at the kings caves , dogs are in seventh heaven walking the forest but it’s only at the top of the walk you realise how sheltered the car park is it’s wonderfull, been looking at leaving on thursday because the rain is returning for three days but ferries already fully booked will prob go back to kintyre from lochranza think it’s better there anyway!

Yep. I had a hell of a job getting a ferry to Ardossan as there is only one main one now as of this week.

Arran is a summer place really, least it is for me. Time to move on.

just tried the weather going back the other way inveraray goes up to 20 next weekend when it’s wet for 3 days over ayrshire

What site are you looking at? Are you sure there isn't an Inverary in California or something? 🤣

oops your almost right barry it’s in canada lol, thought it was too good to be true will have a rethink tomorrow might have to book that late evening ferry & overnight at ardrossan
Lol. The weather forecasts around here and the islands are fluky as they are often for somewhere on the mainland. BBC and met office both do this. You will often find the forecast for Brodick for example is a weather station in Prestwick. Not far but being an island it's often very different weather. Sometimes in your favour sometimes not. I have observed this since I somehow moved here. 😁
