Stonehenge winter solstice 2016😃

Hi all,
Is anyone going to the solstice? And knows whether the lane is open like it usually is as there seems to be some mention of parking charges etc?

A load of us went earlier in the year and we parked on a road right outside for free. Use the search and put in Stonehenge, there is a big thread about it.

I was there a few weeks back and one of the druids was also there. He was saying they will close The Drove off but they get there a week or so before and just get shut in. Whether this is the case or not I can't say but I do know it gets pretty crowded around solstice which is why I tend to avoid it then. Averbury is my preference but they shut the Ridgway from October to April so again it's a pain. Might try Glastonbury this year.
