I've cleaned it a few times but it soon gets stiff again.
Any sensible ideas?

Nope tis the big un, the mini while a little stiff glides smoothly enough, but the heki 2 is stiff going in or out on the blind, and after a quick check as it's rarely used, the flyscreen is equally stiff, and both move jerkily.I'm going to guess this for a Heki mini roof vent as this has a very poor design.
If so take off the internal cover and check where the cords run in a slot, if it's anything like ours the cords will have cut into the plastic and be binding, the way I improved this was to fit two key rings to the plastic and route cords through them, then a liberal spray of silicon.
I would only ever use silicone spray failing that good quality furniture spray polish.I have a spray can of lubricant for the Thetford, will that help?

I tend to use a dry PTFE spray on moving parts or seals to avoid sticking.
Like most lubes, it needs topped up regularly.
As it happens, the one I use is one of many products produced by WD40.

I'm just waiting fore the use WD40 comment, It's the 'Go To' for 99% of people who don't know any better and 90% of the time the wrong thing to use. But a great Water Displacer.
Anyway, Sorry I can't be more useful.
