Hi People
I had the pleasure of attending the new year meet, I was a Wild Camping meet virgin. I must say I had a great time, not being pushed into doing something I was not comfortable with, although it was close thing in the hall when they asked for people to mimic various tv personalities in front of everyone which nearly had me running for the exit Lol.
Anyway main reason for this post is that I noticed a MH about three MHs from me at the meet that had a stand-alone folding step, now I seen two types on line, one steel and one aluminium. I would like to hear from anyone who has used this type of step, either steel or aluminium. I would prefer the aluminium version for weight issues but unsure of the strength of that one as on Amazon I saw a pic of a failed aluminium step. The ones I’ve seem are Kampa and Seaflo
The Seaflo one is here
CARAVAN ALUMINIUM DOUBLE FOLDING STEP holds 200 kgs step ladder motorhome

And the Kampa step is here
Kampa Folding Double Caravan Step | Aluminium: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

Steel Kampa here
KAMPA FOLDING DOUBLE QUICK STEP CAMPING CARAVANING EQUIPMENT: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors

Any help will be much appreciated.
Many Thanks Tony

We use a Fiamma plastic step which is strong, light and no problem with corrosion, it is also much wider than the fold up steps thus making it safer.

Pipsqueak,

someone who is not important and does not deserve respect

Are you sure you want to use that greeting ?

Sorry

Are you sure you want to use that greeting ?
Please take it in as a jovial terms of endearment, if it upsets anybody then I’m truly sorry. I’m not looking to purposely upset people, so once again if it upsets anyone I’m sorry.
Best Wishes Tony

I have a steel one that does ok, it's got big feet to stop it sinking in soft ground & a rubber mat on top.

It seems stable enough, got it from aldies.

I got a heavy duty plastic one from sainsburys & the top cracked & split after a few days use so I stuck a bit of chequer plate ally on top & it does ok now.

So I would go for a steel step!
