I only have a VW Transporter so it was ok in the snow with it being front wheel drive but I think I was only going to get one chance to get out of the pub car park, one couple had a full size motorhome and 3 or four smaller vans were there.

I love the picture of the snowman...............er has anyone seen Robmac lately?

Look's brill bet you had fun building the snow man. Were there any snow ball fights. How different it looks with a coat of snow.

Hope you got through it ok.

We will be up there 2 weeks today, never been before whats the deal? it says motorhomers welcome which is very rare!!!

there is a tap behind the pub, and a toilet cassette disposal.... (it will be hard to find in the snow tho!!) lots of countryside, beautiful countryside, the amazing viaduct, the railway station and nothing else....... it is a lovely location... but not on a bank holiday when it is teeming with folks

the pub serves good food, and welcomes muddy boots.. it also does B&B at a very cheap rate and very clean rooms, and a bunk house for a lot less.... getting out of the car park with a van could be interesting in the snow - but a lovely place to walk in...... and sit in.... and walk the dogs in...

Our first snowfall of any note this year - the North East has been 'getting away with it' up until now.

Not enough to make a snowman tho.

we live about 30 miles away and keep meaning to try it, sounds perfect. Would you be able to use the showers for a small fee if you ask the pub? we were going to have afew ales and food in there anyway.

Hi sak,

This is the Spanish version at a riding school camp site in Spain from our 2012 trip.

We are there now me stonedaddy and daisymini just back from St Andrews had a meal in the pub and a few bevvies going to get some sleep as we have to dig daisymini out as she is stuck in the carpark.

Another fine mess you've got yourselves into, I'm not sure you should be out on your own.
I hope it's not to difficult to get Sue out and don't forget the drinks are on her.:wave:

I'm sure they have showers in the bunkhouse and I bet the landlord would oblige for a small fee if you asked him?

Sit tight until the snows gone. Or the pub runs out of ale. Bazz
