Starter Motor fault.

Come to start Big bertha today and all i get is a click, She ran ok last week, battery is not flat, Its a 2-5 TD Talbot Express Heater plugs heat up and go off, But when i turn the key its just a single click, Any one got any ideas...:confused::confused:
 
Try a gentle tap with a hammer directly to the starter motor body;), and maybe tap the solenoid, It could be just sticking.

Check both the battery poles/connections for corrosion and the earth strap particulary engine to body. Often causes trouble.

Check with A.J he's an expert at starter problems:eek::eek:
 
It's a classic example of poor battery contact I reckon.

Just undo the battery clamps, clean the terminals, and replace.

I reckon you'll be fine ...
