Standing with Giants - British Normandy Memorial

If anyone is thinking of going to the Day beaches, the Standing with Giants exhibition only runs until August and is well worth seekng - as is the memorial itself at Ver sur Mer.
Also, just as we were parking up I caught a glimpse of a van disappearing out of the car park which I'm almost sure was Oppy's.

We visited the British Memorial last year at Ver Sur Mer, this was March and not busy, which was great as we could take our time.

A very humbling experience, and I also found my granddads inscription.

Hi, it's only available until the 1st of June but it is on the approach to the car park. There is a W point further along but it was rather busy when we got there

The CU near the sailing school does get busy. We managed to get in the Park de l'Edit just east of the town. It's a car park also authorised for MHs and is free, but also is popular. It's a nice walk (or bike ride) through the park to the beach and if you want to get to the Juno memorial you cross the bridge at the port.
